Team Effwa has vast experience in design and execution of Incineration systems for various type of hazardous wastes. Depending upon the characteristics, form (liquid, solid, gaseous, semi-solid or sludge) and quantity of the waste, the best suitable waste feeding system, combustion chambers and flue gas cleaning system are selected and engineered on Turnkey basis, to deliver easy to operate Incineration plant. Most of the time, waste heat recovery from flue gases becomes an attractive option either to preheat combustion air for captive use which brings fuel economy or for generation of hot water for boiler feed or steam generation or to heat thermic fluid.
Waste preparation & feeding systems Selection and design of feeding system plays crucial role in overall performance of Incineration systems. Some of the distillation residue takes solid form at ambient temperature, but can be liquefied at elevated temperature and atomized. Effwa offers complete system comprising of container with steam heating and heating and pumping Unit (HPU). Solid wastes/ semi-solids are loosely contained in waste PE/ cotton bags or cartons for manual or mechanized feeding. Vent gases from reactors depending upon Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) and Upper Explosive Limit (UEL) are evacuated and fed to combustion chambers through steam eductor or root blowers.
The type of primary combustion chamber (PCC) of Incineration system is defined based on its hearth and orientation which depends upon quantity, characteristics and form of wastes. Some of the common type that Effwa offers include; static hearth, trolley (mono / twin and Rotary). The Secondary or Post Combustion Chambers (SCC) are static and preferably horizontal, unless due to layout constrains when vertical chambers are offered.
While optimal selection of Time, Temperature and Turbulence ( 3 Ts ) governs high combustion efficiency of incineration systems, the flue gases still require cleaning by Venturi scrubber followed by Packed Bed Scrubber. The pyrolytic combustion in PCC followed by post combustion of volatiles in SCC is the best option for reducing the efforts on flue gases cleaning.
